When I was 5 years old, my parents took me to the Field Museum in Chicago, and I fell in love. From that point on, all I wanted to do was learn about the world around me–about everyone and everything in it. I've translated that curiosity into a career in visual storytelling with a focus on photojournalism.

The idea that I strive to live by is to never lose my imagination and wonder. I approach every assignment as the 5-year-old version of myself, the one who fell in love with National Geographic and saw the world as a huge, exciting place meant to be explored.
